Takeaways from ENR FutureTech 2025 | Kwant Highlights

Energized by Innovation - Our Takeaways from ENR FutureTech 2025

We just got back from ENR FutureTech 2025 in San Francisco May 6–7, and we’re still buzzing from the energy, ideas, and connections that made this year’s event one of the most impactful yet.

Beyond the engaging sessions, we came away with fresh insights, new partnerships and a deeper sense of where construction is headed and how Kwant can help lead that evolution.

What`s Shaping the Jobsite of the Future

We loved the conversations happening on stage, especially those where our clients were leading the charge.

One of our proudest moments was hearing Rabih Zahnan from Wesgroup Properties speak about the value of partnering with tech companies like Kwant was a major highlight. From hazard geofencing to predictive scheduling powered by labor data, Rabih emphasized how Wesgroup is using Kwant to gain complete visibility into what’s happening on-site without creating extra work for crews. His spontaneous and much appreciated shoutout was a clear reminder that intuitive tools can deliver real impact, where it matters the most, on the ground.

Digital Transformation: AI to Increase Efficiency
Sadia Janjua and Dimitra Karachaliou shared their experiences applying AI to major public infrastructure projects with The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. Their message was clear: AI isn’t just coming, it's here, and it's already transforming scheduling and operations at scale.

Is Construction Ready for Wearable Technology?
This panel, featuring leaders like Kristopher Lengieza and Kaushal Diwan, dove into the role of wearables on-site from safety monitoring to augmented reality. The takeaway: wearable tech is no longer experimental, It's driving real productivity and safety gains.

Possibilities: BlueSky Island
We were intrigued by innovations like WiFi-based progress tracking and rebar-tying robots. Visionary speakers like Hamzah Shanbari and Kohichi Matsui gave us a glimpse into the future of construction automation and it’s closer than we think.

Key Trends Shaping the Industry

Throughout the panels and conversations, several themes kept surfacing:

  • Integrated tech ecosystems It’s no longer enough for tools to work in isolation; they must collaborate and integrate, to unlock the full value.
  • Field-first innovation Solutions must be intuitive and non-intrusive for field teams to adopt them at scale.
  • AI in daily workflows  Far from a buzzword, AI is becoming the engine behind smarter scheduling, real time risk management and Data Driven decision making.

Stronger together: Conversations that count

We had the chance to connect with industry leaders and innovators throughout the event. Here are some of the standout companies we engaged with:

AECOM. AMLI Development, EllisDon, Gilbane, Haskell, Wesgroup, Hensel Phelps,Irvine Company, Turner, Oracle, United Rentals, JRM Construction Management, Weitz, Walbridge
Whiting-Turner, amongst others.

These meaningful exchanges are the start of partnerships and ideas we will continue to explore and grow.

What’s Next?

Will we go back to FutureTech next year? Absolutely.
The event continues to be a valuable space for deepening partnerships, discovering new tech, and staying ahead of industry trends.

Until then, we’re focused on following up with new contacts, scheduling demos, and most importantly delivering real value to our partners on the ground.

If you met us at ENR FutureTech, let’s keep the momentum going. Reach out, we'd love to explore how Kwant can support your goals.
